Investigation in Roselle Nets 10K in Drugs; Linden, Union Men Among Five Arrested

After a three-week investigation, Roselle police successfully took an excess of $10,000 in drugs from a borough home this week. 

According to officials, police executed a search warrant at a mixed residential-commercial structure located on the 600 block of St. George Avenue sometime around 8:30 p.m., police said.

Police seized more than 256 glassine folds of heroin, 43 grams of crack cocaine, 69 oxycodone pills and nearly one pound of marijuana. 

Police said the approximate street value of the drugs was more than $10,000. During the search, police also recovered two handguns. 

Five people were arrested, among them were Kimberly Wilson, 43, and Allen McKiver, 21. Also arrested was Raymond Johnson, 30, of Union; Laquan Davis, 23, of Linden; and Sha'nae Holiday, 27, of Roselle. All of those arrested were charged with three counts of possession of controlled dangerous substances, three counts of possession of CDS with intent to distribute, one count of possession of CDS with intent to distribute within a park zone, one count of receiving stolen property, one count of possession of a weapon during a CDS offense, one count of certain persons not to possess a weapon, one count of fortified structure, and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $50,000 for each of those arrested. 

The residence was said to be equipped with camera system put in place to alert occupants of police presence, police added.
