Authorities in Union and Middlesex counties continue to investigate the circumstances behind a shooting involving two victims found injured at a Shopping Center in Linden Saturday evening.

According to Linden Police, at approximately 5:47 p.m., police responded to the Home Depot located in the aviation Plaza to investigate reports of two gunshot victims.

Linden Police arrived at the scene and found a male suffering a bullet wound in his leg and a pregnant female struck by bullets at that location

Police were searching for a beige 2000 Toyota Camry, but they were not able to find one nearby the Loop Inn around the hours of the shooting.

Police said the victims were shot in another town and stopped at the shopping center on their way to the hospital.

Woodbridge Police checked surveillance cameras at the Loop Inn after believing that the incident happened at the motel.

The investigation and search of the Loop Inn confirmed that the incident did not happen on the premises.

Woodbridge searched camera surveillance for a beige 2000 Toyota Camry that may have parked in the lot but was not able to find one nearby the Loop Inn around the hours of the shooting.

“We never heard any shots fired in or around the Motel,” Loop Inn officials said.

The Middlesex County Prosecutor‘s Office confirmed that the shooting happened  on South Inman Avenue and Route 1 North in Woodbridge.
