Internet Crimes Against Children Unit Arrests Browns Mills Man for Attempted Luring

Browns Mills

Middlesex County officials announced today that Kenneth Amy, 55, of Browns Mills, has been arrested while attempting to lure a 13-year-old girl.

According to county officials, on the evening of April 4, Amy arrived at a pre-arranged location after responding to an online listing for the purpose of engaging in explicit contact with an individual who he believed to be a 13-year-old girl.

As a result of an investigation by the Internet Crimes Against Children Unit of The Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, Amy believed he was chatting with a juvenile when he was, in fact, communicating with law enforcement.

According to officials, Amy was arrested without incident and charged with luring/enticing a minor by various means and attempted explicit assault.

The investigation is active and continuing.
