Injuries Reported When Out of Control Car Strikes Multiple Vehicles in Newark's South Ward

Several vehicles were damaged in a neighborhood in Newark's South Ward after an out of controlled driver crashed into multiple cars early Tuesday morning.

According to police, the crash happened in the vicinity of Badger and West Alpine avenues just before 4:03 a.m.

Police say the driver of a car sped down Clinton Avenue, lost control near the intersection and slammed into an occupied civilian vehicle finally coming to rest into a building at that location.

At least one person inside the civil car was transported to an area hospital suffering non-fatal injuries according to preliminary reports. Police say about two other parked vehicles were damaged at the scene.

The driver of the car reportedly ran from the crash location and remain at-large.
