Injuries Reported in Seaside Heights Motel Fire

The Fire Marshall was called to the scene of a  small fire the ignited inside a hotel in Seaside Heights on Tuesday night.

Officials said firefighters were called to the Sunburst Motel after smoke alarms went off inside the establishment around 10:30 p.m 

Upon arrival, crews found a burn victim inside room 22 of the building. 

According to the investigation, it appeared the person was cooking in the kitchen when the fire started. 

The victim's injuries were reported as non-life-threatening and the cause is under investigation. 

There were no other injuries reported.
