Firefighters pulled one person from a burning house after fire ignited the structure in North Plainfield early Thursday morning.
According to officials, the two-story fire broke out inside a 1 and a half story wood framed house located at 179 Grove Sreet just before 2:45 a.m. where firefighters arrived at the scene and found heavy smoke and flames coming from the home with possible trapped occupants.
Crews were able to enter the burning structure where they found one person inside according to reports.
Firefighters were able to knock the blaze down in under a half hour with the cause under investigation.
