LNewark Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose announced that sixteen passengers reported being injured after a New Jersey Transit bus and a second vehicle collided at the intersection of Littleton Avenue and South 16th Avenue shortly after noon today.
Authorities said although none of the injuries were serious, fifteen passengers and the driver of the second vehicle were transported to UMDNJ after they complained of pain.
One occupant onboard the bus declined to go to the hospital, opting to seek their own treatment.
In addition to police personnel, fire and emergency medical workers also responded to assist the occupants authorities said.
The crash is under investigation.
