East Orange police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in the city on Monday evening.
The incident was reported happened before 5:30 p.m. at 196 South Grove Street where two male suspects approached the victims armed with a gun and demanded cash.
During the robbery, the suspects reportedly went on the attack, striking the victim in the face and causing non-life threatening injuries.
The suspects took cash and a cell phone before they ran from the scene reports said.
There were no arrests immediately reported.
