Emergency crews responded to a crash with multiple injuries on Route 3 in Bergen County early Wednesday morning.
According to preliminary information, police were dispatched shortly before 3 a.m. to the westbound lanes of Route 3 in Rutherford after receiving reports of a motor vehicle crash with injuries.
EMS units were requested to the scene, and initial reports indicated at least four people were evaluated with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
The crash caused traffic disruptions along the westbound side of the highway while police, firefighters and EMS crews worked at the scene.
The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation.
