There were non-life threatening injuries reported for one person involved in a multi-car crash on the Garden State Parkway in East Orange this afternoon.
According to police, it happened in the northbound lane of the highway near mile marker 147.5, where police found several cars involved in a collision with one of the vehicles overturned at around 12:20 p.m.
Police say an adult female was assisted from the vehicle and suffered minor injuries. There several children in one of the other cars, but not of them were injured.
The crash caused substantial delays on the highway dues to two lanes being blocked.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
