Injuries Reported After Dirt Bike Crashes into Car in Newark's South Ward

There non-life threatening injuries reported when a dirt bike and a car collided in the city's South Ward on Monday evening.

The incident happened at approximately 5:25 p.m. in the 300 block of Lyons Avenue where police responded to the scene after receiving reports of a crash with injuries.

Units arrived to find a crashed dirt bike and a damaged vehicle at that location.

Police the injuries were considered non-life threatening but urged residents that operating dirt bikes on city streets are illegal.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
