Authorities found an inert grenade inside a passenger's luggage Wednesday at Newark Liberty International Airport.
Officials say the passenger, who was heading to Phoenix, was reportedly on his way to a military training. Although authorities confiscated the grenade, the passenger was allowed to board the flight.
Further investigations, revealed that although the grenade was real, it was incapable of exploding.
