Indictments Returned in Art All Night Trenton Shooting

A Mercer County grand jury returned indictments Thursday charging two Trenton men in connection with the shooting at June’s Art All Night festival in Trenton, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri announced.

Officials say Amir “Mir” Armstrong, 24, was indicted on one count of second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon and one count of third-degree receiving stolen property.

The grand jury also returned a separate six-count indictment charging Davone White, 27, with second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, fourth-degree possession of a large capacity ammunition magazine, two counts of fourth-degree aggravated assault and second- degree certain persons not to possess a weapon.

The Mercer County Homicide Task Force continues to investigate the shooting.

Senior Assistant Prosecutor Heather Hadley presented the case to the grand jury.

Despite having been indicted, every defendant is presumed innocent until found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
