Innovative trade school invites the community to a free cookout & Easter Egg hunt for local children as part of their open house and registration event.
The City of Newark, Newark Housing Authority Executive Director Keith Kinard, and iArts Media Institute will host a program open house and registration on Saturday, March 25, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Newark Housing Authority’s “The Clubhouse” facility at 205 Spruce Street in the City’s East Ward. At 12:30 p.m., iArts Media Institute will host a free community cookout and Pre-Easter Egg hunt for local children.
Newark city residents who are 16 years or older, with a high school diploma and/or GED, are invited to sign up for the iArts Media Institute classes, which provide training for adults and youth on both on-stage and behind-the-scenes careers.
Courses will include Acting, Art, Broadcasting, E-commerce and Technology, Fashion, Film, Job Search/Job Readiness, Music Business, A&R, Music Production, Promotions, Photography, Public Speaking/Communications, and Public Relations.

iArts Media Institute was started in December 2014 by Brett and Shana Melius, MBA, MA, as a program that offering Acting by Newark native JD Williams and Photography by industry veteran Brett Melius. This program launched in January 2015.
