Hunterdon County Man Gets 10 Years for Sexual Assault, Weapon Charges

Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III, announced the sentencing of Daniel Veselko, 51, of Holland TownshipZ

According to Prosecutor Kearns, on September 22nd, Veselko was sentenced by the Honorable Judge Angela F. Borkowski, JSC, to a total ten of years in state prison for sexual assault and weapons offenses.

In addition, he will be required to register as a sex offender as per Megan’s Law and will be under parole supervision for life.

Veselko is also required to forfeit the weapons that were confiscated at the time of his arrest.

Veselko was arrested on March 22nd, after an investigation by detectives from the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Holland Township Police Department revealed the defendant sexually assaulted a victim under the age of 13.

Veselko was previously arrested in January for weapons offenses.

Veselko on April 20th, was indicted by a Hunterdon County Grand Jury for 1st degree Sexual Assault, 2nd degree Sexual Assault, 2nd degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and 4th degree Lewdness.

Prosecutor Kearns added, “The successful prosecution of Mr. Veselko’s crimes has helped to take a predator off our streets. While we are pleased with the sentence imposed by Judge Borkowski, we realize that it does not diminish the trauma imposed on the victim’s and their families.”
