Hunterdon County Man Found Guilty of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child

Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns III, announced the guilty verdict of Brian Klekovic, 39, of Holland Township.

Klekovic was found guilty by a Hunterdon County Jury for Aggravated Sexual Assault, Sexual Assault and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

A Hunterdon County Grand Jury returned a ten count indictment against Klekovic in October of 2014.

In July, 2014, Klekovic was arrested by Detectives from the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and members of the Holland Township Police Department. Klekovic was charged with three counts each of, 1st degree Aggravated Sexual Assault, five counts of 2nd degree Sexual Assault, two counts of 2nd degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Klekovic engaged in sexual acts with a victim less than 13 years old and a child at least 13 but less than 16 years old.

The crimes occurred in Holland Township and Franklin Township, NJ between 2012 and 2014.

The jury trial was presided over by the Honorable Angela Borkowski, J.S.C. Klekovic’s bail was revoked and he will be held in the Somerset County Jail as he awaits his sentencing on February 10, 2016.

According to Prosecutor Kearns, “I would like to commend the law enforcement officers and detectives from the Holland Township Police Department and the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office for their dedication and hard work in this case. I would also like to thank Assistant Prosecutor John Burke and Assistant Prosecutor Kelly Daniels for their outstanding efforts. While we are pleased with the jury’s guilty verdict on all counts, we realize that it does not diminish the physical and emotional pain suffered by the victims. I commend the victims for courageously coming forward to bring Klekovic to justice.”
