Hudson Prosecutor Investigates Fatal Jersey City Shooting on Pearsall Avenue

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit, along with the Jersey City Police Department, is currently investigating a fatal shooting that took place on the evening of Friday, May 10. 

Authorities were alerted to the incident shortly before 10 p.m. after receiving reports of gunshots near the intersection of Pearsall Avenue and Garfield Avenue in Jersey City.

Upon arrival, law enforcement officers discovered a 24-year-old male, identified as Mr. Resheed Wallace of Jersey City, suffering from a severe gunshot wound to his upper body.

Wallace was quickly transported to Jersey City Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at around 10:25 p.m.

The cause and manner of Wallace's death are still under investigation, pending the results from the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.

As of now, no arrests have been made in connection to the shooting.

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office and the Jersey City Police Department are urging anyone with information about this case to come forward.
