A violent early morning crash that occurred on a road in Jersey City is under investigation by the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office.
According to a statement released by The Prosecutor's Office, they urged residents to avoid the area of Congress Street and Paterson Plank Road in Jersey City after two cars collided at that location causing occupants to become trapped and severely just injured before 7:20 a.m.
Firefighters extricated about three victims from the car who were turned over to medical personnel. Officials would not release the extent of their injuries as of 10:30 a.m.
The collision had police close the road for the investigation.
