Hudson County authorities are investigating a shooting that killed two people in Jersy City overnight.
Police responded to reports of suspicious activities in the 200 block of Bright Street shortly before 2:30 a.m. where arriving officers found a man and a woman laying in the middle of the street suffering gunshot injuries.
The pair were pronounced dead at the scene according to authorities.
Police set up a crime scene where they investigated a possible motive for the incident.
There are unconfirmed reports of a murder-suicide.
