House Struck by Stray Bullets in Newark's South Ward

Police are investigating a shooting incident in Newark's South Ward that caused property damage overnight. 

At approximately midnight, police responded to reports of shots fired in the vicinity of 263 Clinton Avenue. 

Police officers arrived at the scene and notified local hospitals to be on the lookout for possible walk-in gunshot victims after they found evidence that a shooting had occurred at that location. 

Officers canvassing the scene found a house struck by bullets, but no one inside suffered injuries. 

The suspect fled the scene and remained at large. 

No injuries were reported.
