A person found dead overnight in Hamilton Township has authorities from the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office investigating.
The unidentified person was found in the area of Genesee Street and East Park Avenue sometime at around 1 a.m. when police were called to the scene after receiving reports to check conditions for a possible injured person at that location according to initial reports.
Arriving units located the victim unconscious and unresponsive after suffering an undisclosed injury reports said.
Medics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
The cause and manner of death has not been released and is being investigated.
