Authorities in Bergen County are searching for suspects involved in a violent early morning home invasion that left a homeowner injured in Rochelle Park.

According to preliminary information, the incident occurred shortly before 3 a.m. when police were dispatched to the 100 block of Howard Street after receiving reports of a burglary in progress.
Upon arrival, officers located a homeowner suffering from a laceration to the head and immediately requested emergency medical services to respond to the scene.
Initial reports indicate that the suspects forced their way into the residence and assaulted the homeowner during the incident.
Authorities said the suspects fled the area in a blue-colored sedan and remain at large.
Police units, including K-9 teams, canvassed the neighborhood in an effort to track the suspects and gather evidence connected to the crime.
The injured homeowner was treated for what officials described as non-life-threatening injuries.

The Bergen County Sheriff’s Office and Rochelle Park Police Department are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident, which remains active and ongoing.
