Homeless Men Among Four Accused of Robbing Man Outside Journal Square PATH Station in Jersey City

Four men accused of robbing a man outside the Journal Square PATH Station Tuesday night were arrested, according to police.

Police were called to the Journal Square PATH station around 11:50 p.m., where the 33-year-old victim told police he was approached by four men who told him to "give us your money" but when victim refused, he was punched in the jaw and placed in a choke hold by the men.

The men fled the area in possession of the victim’s money, backpack, and a silver ring.

A searched ensued of the area and suspects were caught outside the Dunkin Donuts near where the alleged robbery occurred.

The men arrested were identified as Alfredo James, 46, Anthony Andrew, 47, and Antevious Gillespie, 29, all reportedly homeless and Kyle Barnes, 48, of Union City. All four men were charged with robbery and conspiracy.

Andrew and Gillespie were also charged with criminal possession of stolen property.

Officers were only able to recover the victim’s book bag and his ring.
