Hoboken Man Accused of Throwing Knives, Kitchen Utensils Out Apartment Window Arrested

Hoboken New Jersey

Police arrested a Hoboken man after he allegedly threw knives and other kitchen utensils out his apartment window at passing pedestrians Saturday.

Police responded to the Park Avenue apartments after the Turtle Club bouncer reported that a man on a third-floor apartment was throwing knives and other utensils at passing pedestrians sometime after midnight Saturday.

Police responded to the apartment twice but officers reported that no one appeared to be home. However, as officers were leaving the second time, they saw a pair of feet through a gap underneath the door.

After investigating, police found the man, later identified as Christian Hoffman, 32, inside the apartment along with a glass pipe and a grinder used to grind crack cocaine lying on his bed.

Hoffman was arrested and charged with aggravate assault, terroristic threats, possession of a weapon, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia.
