Police took one person into custody after a hit-and-run crash that occurred on a road in Colts Neck on Friday morning.
The early morning crash had police in the northbound lanes of NJ-18 near mile marker 33.6 where they found a crashed vehicle in the woods at that location.
The occupants of the vehicle reportedly left the scene immediately after crashing the car according to reports.
Police eventually located one of the occupants and searched the area for a second male.
The crash remains under investigation. There were no serious injuries reported.
