Saturday morning, a hit-and-run accident occurred on Route 20 near Route 46 in Paterson. The incident, which happened around 2:40 a.m., resulted in injuries to two individuals.
Paterson police responded to reports of a crash with injuries and arrived at the scene to find a badly damaged vehicle with two occupants injured.
Both victims were promptly transported to St. Joseph's Medical Center for treatment and are expected to recover from their injuries.
The driver of the other car involved in the crash fled the scene, leaving authorities with an ongoing investigation into the incident.
Law enforcement is actively working to identify and locate the driver responsible for the hit-and-run.
