Hillside police terminate pursuit after a driver reached dangerously high speeds early Tuesday morning.
According to authorities, at approximately 2 a.m., Hillside Police attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop on Leo Street of a Blue Toyota Camry with New York plates.
Police say the driver disregarded the police signal to stop causing a police pursuit onto Route 22 West and then onto the Garden State Parkway.
The pursuit was terminated a short time later because the driver of the Toyota was creating a grave danger to himself and others after reaching excessive speeds of approximately 100 mph.
Detectives are investigating.
