The State Police are currently investigating a crash that occurred in the Garden State Parkway overnight
State Police report that the accident happened at approximately 2:00 a.m. at milepost 131.9 in Woodbridge.
According to the preliminary investigation, a Ford Explorer that was traveling south on the Parkway struck the center concrete barrier and bridge support.
According to police, the driver, Mr. Wahid Perry, 51, of Hillside, sustained serious injuries in the crash and was airlifted to Robert Wood Johnson in New Brunswick for treatment.
There were no other passengers or vehicles involved in this accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
