A 27-year-old Hillside resident was arrested yesterday after he was found in possession of marijuana, authorities said.
Yesterday at approximately 5 p.m., Harold B. Clarke, 27, of Hillside was arrested on charges related to the possession of a large quantity of marijuana.
Police seized approximately five pounds of marijuana and packaging related items following an investigation by the Hillside police detective bureau.
Clarke is charged with possession of more than 50 grams of marijuana, distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a controlled dangerous substance within 500 feet of a public park, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He is being held at Hillside police headquarters on $50,000 bail.
