Threat of Gun Inside Hillside High School Placed Building on Lockdown

A NJ high school was placed on lockdown Wednesday following a report of an armed caller tracked to the building sparking terror among staff, students, and parents.

According to police, at 11:04 a.m. officers received a cell phone call from a man stating he had a gun. Police say dispatch personnel tracked the phone to the area of Hillside High School.

As a preventative measure, the school was placed on lockdown until police located the caller.

According to police, a student in the high school was determined to have made the called, but police say no gun was ever found, and the school was deemed safe.

Police say detectives are questioning two students, but the investigation into the incident is underway.
