Healthcare Heroes From Newark Beth Israel Medical Center Get the Chance to "Say Yes to the Dress"

Newark

On July 8th, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center nurses, pharmacists and social workers gathered in the hospital’s lobby to choose a Kleinfeld’s Bridal wedding dress and make their wedding day dreams come true.

The 18 sample dresses all came from Kleinfeld’s Bridal, the boutique featured on the popular TLC show “Say Yes to the Dress.”

The dresses arrived in early June and employees began submitting their stories for a chance to win an opportunity to choose a dress.

Some of the winners included a nurse administrator who is getting married for the second time and a pediatric ICU Nurse who is getting married after ten years and self-quarantined throughout the pandemic to keep her family and fiancée safe.

One Neo-Natal Intensive Care nurse submitted her daughter, who lost her job in NYC during the pandemic, for a chance to win.

The dresses were donated to the hospital by the Front Line Appreciation Group (FLAG) of South Orange and Maplewood. The gowns are just some of the many donations that the group has made to the hospital throughout the pandemic.
