A township resident contacted police after a delivery was mistakenly left outside their home Tuesday.
Officers responded to a township home after the resident discovered that several boxes left outside her home that were not expected nor were they addressed to anyone that lived their.
Officers took possession of the boxes in an attempt to locate the correct address. Looking for a packing list which would contain information on the addressee, officers opened the packages and discovered approximately 50 pounds of marijuana.
Police are asking that if anyone was expecting packages matching the above description, to report to police headquarters to claim the packages.
In the meantime, detectives will be working with County, State, and Federal Law Enforcement agencies to locate the owner of the packages.
