A Harrison man has been arrested after investigators allegedly discovered more than 1,500 files containing explicit images of minors during a lengthy investigation, according to information released by the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office.
Hudson County Prosecutor Wayne Mello announced that Daniel Depasque, 49, of Harrison, has been charged with second-degree endangering the welfare of a minor for allegedly possessing explicit images of minors material.
Authorities said members of the Hudson County Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force began investigating the case in May 2025 after receiving information that explicit images of minors was being possessed at a residence in Harrison.
During the course of the investigation, detectives allegedly identified more than 1,500 files of explicit images of minors material linked to the defendant.
Depasque was arrested at his Harrison residence on Thursday, July 23, and transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility, where he is being held pending his first court appearance.
The investigation was conducted by the Hudson County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
