Handgun Recovered After Shot Fired Incident in Jersey City

Police recovered a handgun overnight following a reported shot fired incident in a Jersey City neighborhood.

 

Just before 11 p.m., officers responded to the 100 block of Wade Street after receiving reports of gunfire. 

Upon arrival, police located evidence indicating a shooting had occurred, including spent shell casings.

A further search of the area led to the recovery of a handgun at the scene. 

Authorities conducted a canvass of the neighborhood, and no injuries were reported. 

There were no arrests made in connection with the incident as of early morning.

 

The investigation remains active and ongoing, and no additional details were released by police.
