Hackettstown Police Issue Kids Tickets for Good Deeds

The Hackettstown Police Department will be issuing a ‘positive ticket’ to children who are “caught” doing good deeds, thanks to the partnership between Hackettstown and Independence Twp. Quick Cheks.

It could be something simple as exhibiting positive behavior or performing good deeds.

If officers who are on patrol witness a child demonstrating excellent or positive behavior, the child will be pulled over and issued a ticket.

No, you don’t need to go to municipal court with your ticket but you will go to any QuickChek with your $5 ticket and enjoy some great food or drinks.

The purpose of ‘Positive Tickets’ is to build relationships of trust with youth within the community and to encourage good behavior.
