Hackensack Man Charged with Criminal Sexual Contact, Endangering the Welfare of a Minor

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of Angel Avendano-Cadme, 23, of Hackensack, on charges of criminal sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child. 

According to Prosecutor Musella, on Monday, August 30, the Division of Child Protection and Permanency contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding an allegation of criminal sexual contact of a minor. 

An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit revealed that Avendano-Cadme engaged in sexual conduct with the minor who was between the age of 16 and 18 while at a park in Hackensack on one occasion.

As a result of the investigation, Avendano-Cadme was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and criminal sexual contact. 

Avendano-Cadme was remanded to the Bergen County Jail in Hackensack, pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court.
