Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo announced the arrest of Andrew Lavrik, 32, of Hackensack, on charges of Criminal Sexual Contact and Endangering The Welfare Of A Child.

According to authorities, on Dec. 10th, the Edgewater Police Department received a report that Lavrik, who’s a ice skating coach/instructor, engaged in inappropriate conduct with a minor in Edgewater in November 2018.

As a result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Edgewater Police Department, Lavrik was arrested on January 3rd, in Paramus, and charged with one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Minor and one count of Criminal Sexual Contact.

Officials say Lavrik was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a detention hearing scheduled for January 7th at 9 a.m.
