Bergen County authorities announced the arrest of Alexader J. De La Cruz, 20, of Hackensack, on a charge of possession of explicit images of minors.
According to officials, the arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.
Officials say on Thursday, March 2, 2022, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at the residence of Alexander De La Cruz during an investigation.
The investigation revealed that De La Cruz used the Internet to view, download and possess items depicting nude and sexually explicit minors.
According to Police, Alexander De La Cruz was arrested on Thursday, March 3, in Paramus and charged with third-degree possession of explicit images of minors.
De La Cruz is scheduled for a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack on Wednesday, March 22.
