Gunshot Victim Self-Transported to Paterson Hospital

Paterson Police are investgiating a shots fired incident that connected on one person at a location in the city on Thursday night.

According to preliminary reports, officials at the St. Joseph's Hospital contacted police when a male victim entered the emergency department at approximately midnight suffering gunshot wounds.

The victim told police that he was in the vicinity of 50 Rosa Parks Boulevard when gunfire struck him.

Police received reports of shots fired at around 11:30 p.m. where police arrived and found evidence that a shooting occurred, but after a search of the area, there was evidence that a shooting occurred, but no victim was found.

The motive for the shooting is in its early stages of the investigation and no arrests have been made.
