Officers were dispatched to the 7-Eleven on Elizabeth Avenue after they learned of an armed robbery in progress around 9:20 a.m.

The armed suspect entered the store wearing a white mask and immediately rushed behind the counter.

A preliminary investigation indicated that the man then pointed the gun at the employee and demanded cash from the register before fleeing the scene on foot.

Police believe the suspect discarded some of his clothing on Sherman Avenue after robbing the store. He remained at large.

No physical injuries were reported.
