Newark authorities are investigating a double robbery reported near a college campus in downtown Newark on Thursday night.
According to authorities, Essex County College Police were approached by two victims who reported that while they were near the intersection of Market Street and University Avenue, a suspect approached armed with a gun and announced a robbery.
Police say the suspect took personal possessions before fleeing the scene, but there were no physical injuries reported.
Essex County College Police transported the victims to The Newark Police 3rd precinct for the investigation.
