Police in Newark are on the search for several males who are wanted for firing shots in a neighborhood in the city Monday evening.
According to police, gunfire erupts in the vicinity of North 5th Street and. 2nd Avenue at approximately 6:20 p.m.
Upon arrival, police found multiple shell casings but a search of the area indicated no victims.
Witnesses told police the three suspects fled the scene in a dark-colored GMC Envoy immediately after the shooting.
There were no reports of arrests.
