There were no confirmed injuries reported in an early morning shots-fired incident that occurred on a street in Paterson Sunday.
According to police, a ShotSpotter activation alerted police to 7 loud popping noises that resembled gunfire in the vicinity of Madison and 6th avenues shortly before 5:15 a.m.
Police arrived and found evidence that a shooting occurred, but after they searched the area, they were no able to locate any injured victims.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
