Police in Newark is on the search for a man who fired shots on a residential street in the city's South Ward this afternoon.
According to police, at approximately 12:45 p.m., an armed man fired multiple times at unknown targets near 191Custer Avenue, then ran away from the scene.
Police said when officers arrived in the area, they found shell casings but no victims.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
