Gunfire Strikes Two in Paterson Neighborhood

Two victims suffered non-life threatening gunshot wounds after a shooting that occurred in a Paterson neighborhood Sunday night.

According to police, at approximately 11 p.m., a gunman arrived in the vicinity of 526 East 18th Street and began to fire rounds in the direction of two males in the area.

Police said when officers arrived at the scene, they found one of the males suffering a bullet wound in his back at that location.

While police searched the area for evidence and other potential victims, officers found another male bleeding from his leg from an apparent gunshot wound, according to Paterson officials.

Both victims were rushed to St. Joseph's Hospital for treatment and remains in stable condition.

The motive for the shooting is under investigation and no arrests have been made.
