Police in Jersey City are investigating a shots fired incident that occurred on a street in the city Wednesday evening.
According to police, it happened at approximately 9 p.m. where police responded to the vicinity of Center and Brook streets to investigate reports of shots fired.
Fast responding police officers arrived and found a person non-gunshot wound injured person after the victim fell when an unidentified gunman came to the area and opened fire at an unknown target according to police.
Police canvassing at the scene located a suspect and a weapon while they searched for victims.
Police say no one was shot during the incident.
