Paterson Police are conducting a shots fired investigation after gunfire erupted in one of the city's neighborhoods overnight.
According to preliminary reports, gunfire rang out in the vicinity of Rosa Parks Boulevard and Putnam Street just before 10 p.m. sending police to the scene to investigate.
Units arriving at the location found evidence that a shooting occurred but after an extensive search, there were no victims found.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
