A shots fired incident that occurred in a neighborhood in Newark's South Ward is under investigation.
Police responded to the shooting that occurred in the vicinity of Reeves and West Runyon just before 5 p.m. Wednesday where officers arrived to find multiple shell casings, but officers were not able to find any victims after canvassing the location.
Detectives set up a crime scene in the area where officers searched for additional evidence and possible suspects wanted for the shooting.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
