Authorities in Passaic County are investigating the motive behind a shots-fired incident that erupted in Paterson Thursday.
Gunfire erupted in the area of 185 12th Avenue around 2:40 p.m. prompting a police investigation.
Officers arrived at the scene found shell casings on the basketball court, but after police canvases the area, no victims were found.
Two shell casings were located during the search.
There were no arrests reported.
