Police in Elizabeth are looking into a shooting that occurred on a street in the city overnight.
According to preliminary reports, police responded to reports of shots fired that rang out in the vicinity of 531 5th Street before 12:50 a.m.
Police officers arrived at the scene found property damage caused by flying bullets, but after a search of the area, there were no reports of injuries.
An unidentified suspect reportedly fired shots into a house at that location before running from the scene.
Police are continuing to investigate.
